Warranty terms
Warranty period of 24 months for ceramic chimney units (CWK) provided that:
- The product was delivered by an authorized dealer of CWKs;
- Transportation and storage was conforming to the manufacturer’s instructions (excluding careless, improper and non-professional handling, mechanical damage, incorrect storage, etc.);
- No defects were reported while accepting the delivery
- The chimney was built in compliance with the technical documentation, which met the requirements of European standards EN 1443 and EN 1457
- An approved heating device, in an acceptable technical condition, is connected to the chimney.
Defects covered by the warranty: Dimensions, Mechanical damage (integrity, declared strength)
Warranty period of 60 months for structures made of chimney system units provided that:
- The installation of the structure is performed by a certified company
- Only a complete set of genuine chimney system accessories was used
- The assembly requirements, as described in the technical documentation valid on the day of installation, were followed (static requirements)
- The requirements of relevant technical regulations , especially the European standard EN 1443, were met
- The requirements set forth by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Public Administration in their relevant Order of 16th June 2003, O.J. No. 12, item 1138, on chimney cleaning procedures
- A filled-in flue notice plate is provided
- A valid inspection protocol was issued for the chimney (a protocol on the condition of the chimney and attached devices)
Defects covered by the warranty: Dimensions, Mechanical damage (integrity, declared strength)
Warranty period of 30 years for the chimney safety (soot burnout), provided that:
- The installation of the structure is performed by a certified company
- Only a complete set of genuine chimney system accessories was used
- The assembly requirements, as described in the technical documentation valid on the day of installation, were followed (including static requirements)
- The requirements set forth by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Public Administration in their relevant Order of 16th June 2003, O.J. No. 12, item 1138, on chimney cleaning procedures. A filled-in flue notice plate is provided
- Defects covered by the warranty: the warranty claims are accepted if the ceramic chimney units (CWKs) are found to have higher steam permeability than required by the European standard EN1457.
Claims related to the warranty:
- Any claims related to the warranty have to be made at the provider of the chimney system immediately after the defect is detected
- The claim should specify the type of defects, its location and the delivery date
- A copy of the document confirming that the delivery was complete
- The due compensation, under the warranty, will be documented by a verifiable evidence (photos, site inspection by the manufacturer representative)
- In case of a claim related to the warranties listed above the customer has the right to demand for a replacement of defective elements.
- The manufacturer’s instruction of 20th Feb 2006, “Special handling requirements for CWKs”, is an integral part of these Warranty terms.
